Damage from the deadly Category 4 Hurricane Laura is unimaginable in these scenes captured the morning after the eye passed over the city—August 26, 2020. Miles of downed trees and power lines in and around Lake Charles. Roof damage common. Manufactured homes destroyed. Bent sheet metal everywhere. A fire also spread poisonous gas and caused residents to stay indoors.
